Pearl and Filigree Drop Earrings

pearl-and-filigree-drop-earrings.jpgThere’s nothing quite like an earring project to spruce up a jewelry box in need of some life. These pearl and filigree drop earrings are a quick and easy project that is sure to bring lots of compliments!

Round up some antique silver ear wires, jump rings, eye pins, head pins, two round, antique silver filigree pieces, two 8mm pearls and two 10mm pearls.  For tools, you’ll need your chain-nose pliers, wire cutters and round nose pliers.

Put the two 8mm pearls on two eye pins, which have been cut to an appropriate length.  Put a loop at the top, but don’t close them. Bring them through the hole at the bottom of the ear wires; close your loop. Use a jump ring to connect the beaded eye pin to the filigree piece (put the jump ring through the hole of the filigree piece, and the bottom hole of the eye pin).

Lastly, take your 10mm pearls and put them on the head pins, which have been cut to an appropriate length. Put a loop at the top, but don’t close them. Bring them through the bottom hole of the filigree piece and close the loop. Now, go try them on. Nice, right? Happy weekend plans with these earrings!
