I decided to make this pendant as a display of a whole year in the life of a deciduous tree.
It is a wire wrapped solid copper pendant, showcasing a bare, winter tree with the attached Czech glass leaves displaying the seasons change. Starting with bright, lush green leaves in spring, a sparkling pale pink briolette symbolizes the flowers.
The leaves then turn darker and finally change color to a bright orange brown before they turn dry, dark brown, shrink to a smaller size and then fall off. We are back to the bare tree.
The round wire frame was formed out of 18g solid copper wire. I used 6 28g wire pieces to create the tree and then wrapped the frame with 28g wire, attaching the leaves.
The finished pendant was then tumble polished to increase strength and shine.
