Aquamarine Morning And Amethyst Night | The creator of this piece says: One early spring day I was so inspired by the sky that I decided to recreate this picture. I felt like I was working on a painting... First, I made the base for the necklace, using seed and bugle beads. Then, I made two-layered and three-dimensional blossoming full flowers, also using seed beads and bugle beads. After this, using freeform technique, I decorated the base with the flowers. | In this piece I used two color combinations. One set of colors represents morning, and for that I used aquamarine copper-lined seed beads and size #3 bugle beads. With green iris seed beads, amethyst seed beads and light amethyst ghost bugle beads, I defined night. |
About the Artist: Zoya GutinaI live in Alexandria, VA, a city rich in history, art, and culture. I've been beading for 5 years. I exhibit my fine objects in the Potomac Craftsmen Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, you can find my beaded jewelry in some art and jewelry stores in Washington Metropolitan Area. Inspiration for my designs come to me night and day. At night, when I close my eyes, fantastic colors and forms appear before me. Often, I cannot even find beads or stones equal to these glorious visions. During the day, my inspiration comes from the trees and flowers of spring, frozen geometry of winter, and the beautiful rise and set of the sun. View Zoya Gutina's website at MyLovelyBeads.com.
