Chunky Green Necklace

Chunky Green NecklaceThe creator of this piece says: To get the sturdy shape of the necklace I used about 4 lengths of wire together and formed it into the shape of a horse shoe. Then I attached the clasp on each end. Starting from one end, with one strand of wire I threaded different beads (in the same colour group) on and twisted the wire around the 4 lengths and went from one end ot the other and back until I was happy with the size.

I also used some wire in the same colour of the beads instead of the silver wire. I love chunky jewellery so the bigger the better.

About the Artist: Bec

I'm a 23 year old Aussie and I have loved jewellery and beads since I was little. It's only been in the last few years that I have started making my own jewellery, at first it was just earrings and it has gone from there. We got a bead shop in town which has just made me really get into it. I make it for myself, family and friends. My ideas come from magazines, nature, and mistakes (A few items I have created have come from design I have done which hasn't turned out right, but still looks good).
