Cloud Of Fortune Crystal Pendant Necklace | The creator of this piece says: "Cloud of Fortune" or xiang yun, refers to beautiful, auspicious clouds, used especially in describing the skies accompanying appearances of Buddha.
I used 18 gauge sterling silver wire hammered flat to form a frame in the shape of a cloud. Swarovski crystals (3mm) in sapphire and light blue are threaded with sterling silver wires inside the cloud-shaped frame, dotted with gold colored cherry blossom and small gold beads. About the Artist: Xuelan HouAfter earning her Studio Art BA at Wellesley College, Xuelan began her art journey by working in the art gallery world. She has directed the gallery of Asian Culture Center in New York, published journals in the Oriental Art and Finance Magazine in China and advised several emerging and mid-career Asian artists on their pursuit of careers in the arts in New York City. Though her love of art has never faded, she wanted to continue the excitement in an even more creative environment by becoming a designer and fulfilling her passion for fashion.
