Fall Rhapsody Necklace Set | The creator of this piece says: The idea of this set came to me last fall and was inspired on a very sunny day. It was what we call Golden Fall.
First, I weaved the necklace base using vertical netting stitch technique. I used tiny seed Czech beads #12 of amber color. Then I made seven leaves for the necklace and four for the earrings from beads of different light to dark yellow colors. I attached leaves to the bottom of the necklace and then embroidered with the light and dark smooth clear amber chips. | I added small beaded half-loops around the necklace as a final touch.
As a clasp I decided to use a pike of amber, I didn't want metal on this necklace. Then I made earrings attaching leaves to sterling silver findings, and added a few fringes of different length made from the same beads with small pieces of amber. It seems to me, that my idea came to life in this necklace, and I reached the desired result.

About the Artist: Zoya GutinaI live in Alexandria, VA, a city rich in history, art, and culture. I've been beading for 5 years. I exhibit my fine objects in the Potomac Craftsmen Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, you can find my beaded jewelry in some art and jewelry stores in Washington Metropolitan Area. Inspiration for my designs come to me night and day. At night, when I close my eyes, fantastic colors and forms appear before me. Often, I cannot even find beads or stones equal to these glorious visions. During the day, my inspiration comes from the trees and flowers of spring, frozen geometry of winter, and the beautiful rise and set of the sun. View Zoya Gutina's website at MyLovelyBeads.com.
