My Mackintosh Rose | The creator of this piece says: This piece's focal point is a blackstone pendant with a printed design, along with white bone and wood accent beads. The braided strapping is made of black, brown and white leather, with a handmade black wire clasp to finish it off. Black wire is used to tie the beaded sections and leather sections together. The pendant was found first and inspired me to make a bold rustic statement with a contemporary twist. The colors of this piece, being neutral, allow a person to wear it with any color, and it also allows a person to wear it with both casual or dressy clothing. |
About the Artist: April MummertI am an Interior Designer by trade, with a background in fine arts. I've been making jewelry for 2 years. I use natural stone, typically mixed with glass and metal. My love is using wire wrapping in my pieces and mixing different materials into the jewelry pieces. My design aesthetic is inspired by nature.
