Queen Of The Night

Queen Of The NightThe creator of this piece says: A necklace inspired by Verdi, the Magic Flute.

I learned this bead embroidery technique in a book by Heidi Kummli and Sherry Serafini. The cabochon face, was done by me in cold mass of glass, and painted.

The materials I used were Miyuki seed beads, Czech bugle beads, pearls, rocailles, and fire-polished beads.

Some decoration, and voilį!

Bead embroidery allows many opportunities to try different alternatives, so two pieces are never alike. Your mind directs your hands to a magical experience and the resulting work is always a surprise.

About the Artist: Maria Teresa Ferreira

I have been beading just two and a half years, but as I only like to do what is more complex, I jumped ahead several years of learning to try the techniques that produce beautiful works ...

I have some work published in Brazil and America. I love that I do, especially because it helps me experiencing a phase of illness.
