Turquoise And Coral Dream | The creator of this piece says: A friend of mine had imagined a piece like this for years, but could never find a ready-made one. She asked me to create her "dream" necklace. After a week of emails and questions, I visited my favorite bead shop and found 15mm coral beads, 4mm turquoise beads and a huge 45mm turquoise go-go to use as the focal point. Soon, this combination came to life with multiple strands of turquoise leading to three large coral beads along the front. | I twirled a 20g wire around the coral beads in the front and used that to hold the turquoise go-go in place. I had not used the technique for the focal beads before, and honestly surprised myself with the outcome. The best reward was seeing her face when she opened the box. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone light up when they see a piece they love. |
About the Artist: Rita HerrmannI have only handcrafted jewelry for two years, but have recently experienced more buyer's interest in my designs. Working mostly in natural stones and wire, I strive to create beautiful, versatile pieces at an affordable price. Inspiration seems to come easily after discovering one beautiful focal bead or a series of complementary beads. It's as though the beads tell me how they want to be presented.
