Under The Sea Necklace | The creator of this piece says: One of my favorite stones is ocean jasper and I had to make a necklace featuring these dynamic stones. I grew up on Cape Cod and just loved walking the beach to look for unique stones that told a story. The main focal bead, a 30 x 35mm ocean jasper stone, definitely seems to tell a story. The coloring and details of this stone are beautiful. Complimenting the focal bead are various ocean jasper chips as well as labradorite rondelles and rounds. | To round out the piece, I have added sterling silver in the form of Bali rope spacers as well as hand-formed coils. The sterling silver was oxidized to add an antiqued patina. |
About the Artist: Debbie ChristiansonI have been making jewelry for less than a year, but have been "artsy" for most of my life. I have dabbled in just about everything, but love the medium of jewelry making.
I am inspired by natural elements. I can seriously spend hours gazing at all the fissures found in a stone or the veins on a new spring leaf. Nature provides such unique personalities that I try to capture some of it in the jewelry that I make. View Debbie Christianson's website at Nala Girl Inspired. Other Pieces by this Artist
