Vintage Garden Necklace | The creator of this piece says: Antiqued gold cable chain and textured rings, amazonite faceted nuggets, bronze potato pearls and aged brass wire are wirewrapped together to form this necklace. An aged brass leaf charm, a turquoise Czech fluted flower with a Picasso finish, and a copper Swarovski crystal bicone dangle from the main ring. I formed and hammered brass wire to complete the toggle in the front.
| This necklace has a vintage look to it, and I was inspired by looking at Victorian era magazines. I was also inspired by the brass leaf pendant. |
About the Artist: Lisa HarringtonI have always been interested in crafty things. I made dollhouse miniatures for many years and dabbled in seed beadwork. I took a class in metal jewelry a year ago and was hooked on making jewelry. I have only recently opened a store on Etsy and become more serious about making jewelry. Currently, I like to use wirewrapping techniques with sterling silver, copper and brass. I usually oxidize or antique my work for that aged look. I like using all types of beads, the more variety, the better! In the future I would like to take more classes on metalwork and PMC.
I am inspired by other jewelry artists, fashion magazines, certain beads or components that grab my attention, and nature and the seasons. View Lisa Harrington's website at Lucid Moon Studio.
