Hemp Footlet

Hemp FootletThe creator of this piece says: A sort of anklet that attaches to one of your toes. Sort of like a slave bracelet for your foot. I used the wrap knot style (a repeating half-hitch), interspersed with pony beads. I started with one strand, then folded it in half and made the toe-loop. Then I worked for about 4" or so to the juncture, where I added another strand.

Each of the original two strands formed the base of the braids that went around the ankle, and then the added strand provided the knotting material for both. Adding pony beads at each side of the juncture helps keep the new and old strands together.
